Celebrations and graduations in Kiev

Kiev | This morning we began our session with a rap group from YWAM Belarus, which helped raise our energy levels. Then, Peter Warren interviewed the father and mother of YWAM in this part of the world, Al and Carolyn Akimoff. Al encouraged us not to get discouraged with the visions God has given us. God will bring it about in His timing. This is how the University of the Nations has been built.

Who are we? What is our heritage and destiny?

Lausanne | David Hamilton lead us into a time of reflecting on on who we are as YWAM. This is significant as we enter the next ten year marker. "Who are we? What is our heritage and destiny?" Taking us to look a fresh at our calling, goal and scope. Are we living to see God`s dream for every individual and nation come to know Him, come true? Then, David challenged, we`re not head over heels in love with the Lord.

Another full and inspirational day in Kiev

Kiev | Also this morning, David Hamilton shared with us about the calling (training, evangelism, and mercy ministries) and goals (every individual redeemed and every society transformed) of YWAM. He said our vision has been too small. Since 80% of those who come to know the Lord come to Him under the age of 18 and most people need to hear the Gospel three times before being ready to accept it, we need to share the Gospel in every Omega Zone at least once every six years. He reminded us of Micah 6:8 "do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly before God." In conclusion he reminded us of our love relationship with God, "Our highest calling is to love God and to do everything possible to make His dreams come true."
